OVERVIEW & WHAT TO EXPECT

Club Days are large student-led events where the campus community comes together. These event days serve as a perfect opportunity for students to check out active clubs, sign-up to become a member, meet student leaders, and get involved on campus.

  • Santa Rosa Campus: Club Days occur on the same days and times that the Inter-Club Council (ICC) meets. For Spring 2026, these are Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, usually located in the Bertolini Quad.
  • Petaluma Campus: Dates are scheduled as they come up throughout the semester, and specific locations may vary.

HOW DO OFFICIAL SRJC CLUBS PARTICIPATE?

Club Days are designed primarily to showcase active, officially recognized SRJC clubs. Recognized clubs are provided with district tables and chairs for the event. Just like clubs operations in general, Club Days are student-led events that are planned, coordinated, and decided on by the student leadership of the Inter-Club Council (Santa Rosa) or Petaluma Council.

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT: To keep the event logistics stress free on the day of the event, generally the event implements a "first-come, first-serve" system. Clubs are able to set up at any table that's available, and are free to set up early if they wish. However the official club day activities will only commence at the advertised time.

HOW CAN MY NON-CLUB GROUP PARTICIPATE?

Since Club Days draw some of the largest student participation on campus, it makes sense that outside organizations and non-club groups show interest in being involved. Below are three different avenues that non-club groups can participate:

1. WORK WITH STUDENT LEADERSHIP

Whether you're looking to table or collaborate on a large joint event, all is possible as long as your proposal is approved by student leadership. Once your organization has been officially sponsored, your group can join an individual Club Day. Sponsored organizations are provided district tables and chairs. There are two main ways to gain sponsorship:

  1. Attend an Inter-Club Council (ICC) meeting and request sponsorship during public comment.
If there's interest, student leaders will likely follow-up with you. Note that any individual club can also sponsor an outside organization. You are encouraged to work directly with a club's leadership or advisor.
  2. Work directly with the Student Government’s Vice President of Clubs
Working directly with leadership is a good way to explore collaboration opportunities.
Emails: icc@santarosa.edu (Santa Rosa) or clubs.pc@santarosa.edu (Petaluma)
2. CREATE A CLUB COMPANION TO YOUR GROUP

This option may be viable for certain SRJC's internal departments, though there are also clubs associated with outside organizations.
Consider starting a student-led club related to your department’s mission. There are many club companions to district programs, including Debate, International Students, Puente, and Second Chance Club. Being an official club provides a direct student connection and allows full participation in Club Day. So long as there's student interest and the pursuit of being a club is student-led -student leaders can start the process of becoming an activated club by filling out the Club Activation Form

3. FREE SPEECH TABLING

Because SRJC is a public institution, outside organizations are able to table on campus using their free speech rights. If your group chooses to table on a day when a Club Day is occurring, please keep the following in mind:

  • Your organization will not be part of the official Club Day event.
  • You will need to provide your own table and chairs; college equipment is reserved exclusively for the official event.
  • Groups that are not sponsored by student leadership must give space and set up on the periphery of the Club Day event. To avoid confusion, please keep a distance that makes it clear you are not part of the official activities.
  • Please refer to this Tabling & Solicitation page for more information.
